Leeway is delighted to celebrate our 50th anniversary in 2024 by being one of the chosen charities of the Norfolk Marathon on Sunday 28th April 2024.
This is a significant milestone for Leeway and it is fantastic to be part of this event, which has been organised by EPIC Norfolk. We look forward to updating supporters about the events and campaigns that we have planned throughout the year to commemorate our special anniversary.
The Norfolk Marathon
The Norfolk Marathon is a 26-mile route, starting and finishing in Cromer, taking in some of the spectacular North Norfolk countryside during the course. The route takes runners through the villages of Northrepps, Southrepps, Bradfield, Trunch, and Gimingham, before returning to finish in Cromer.
The finish line is on Jetty Street in Cromer, with fabulous views of the iconic pier and the beach awaiting runners as they complete this scenic marathon. If anyone wishes to view the full race route, they can do so via the Map My Run page.
Taking Part
The event is open to anyone over the age of 18, so whether you’re a seasoned runner or just want to take on the challenge of doing a marathon this event is for you!
Charity places for the race are free, as long as entrants meet the £250 fundraising target that has been set by the race organisers. All entries include chip-timing and a bespoke race medal.
All money raised from the event will go towards enhancing and sustaining the service that Leeway provides across Norfolk and Suffolk. If you are interested in signing up or would like more information, visit the event page.
