For over four decades Leeway has reached out to support women and children who are experiencing domestic abuse. Our work, both at our refuges and through our community based services has helped to change the lives of thousands of people. However, without the backing of the local Norfolk community none of this would be possible. We are therefore eternally grateful for the support we receive from local people, businesses and organisations – one of which is the Norwich Centenary branch of the Rotary Club.
The Rotary Club is made up of 1.2 million neighbours, friends and community leaders, all of whom have come together with the aim of making a positive difference both here in the UK and around the world. The organisation was originally founded in 1905 and has since worked with a number of leading international organisations – including the UN.
As part of their work, the Rotary Club will be hosting a charity walk on Sunday 15th May 2016 to raise money for local good causes. The event will start and finish at Acle Recreation Centre and it is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the beautiful countryside and river views around Acle & Upton, whilst helping to raise money for your chosen charity.
