At the time of writing this, there are 37 days, 8 hours, 26 minutes and 45…44…43 seconds until Christmas. Last week we saw the release of the John Lewis TV advert and with the imminent arrival of the Coca Cola lorry in Norwich, many of you will already be getting into the festive spirit.
For those living in our safe houses at Christmas, the story can be very different. Living away from home and without many of the comforts that the rest of us will be taking for granted at this time of year, if can be a difficult. At Leeway, we do everything we can to support women and give their children as normal a Christmas as is possible – but we need your help!

Seasonal Donations
This year we have once again teamed up with Virgin Money Lounge and Skipton Building Society to create three drop off points where you can donate a Christmas gift to someone living in our safe houses. We are looking for the following items, either new or unused:
We ask that all gifts are unwrapped and reach us no later than Wednesday 14th December to allow time for us to distribute them around the county. Your donations can be left at one of the following locations:
The Leeway Christmas Quiz
If you fancy yourself as something of a quiz expert, you can help us raise funds by joining us for the Leeway Christmas Quiz on Thursday 15th December. We are incredibly grateful to The Ringland Swan pub in Norwich for once again agreeing to host the event and we will be getting under way from 7pm.
Teams of up to six people are welcome to take part and it costs just £10 per person to enter. Your entry fee includes a delicious evening meal (vegetarian options will be available), so it is well worth coming along and joining in the fun. All proceeds from the event will go towards supporting Leeway’s services.

Donate as You Shop This Christmas
Leeway is now a member of both Go Raise and iStreet. Both websites help charities and good causes to raise money through the power of online shopping. All you have to do is register, select Leeway as the good cause you would like to support and begin shopping. From their website, navigate your way to thousands of leading high-street brands and complete your Christmas shopping in the knowledge that for every pound you spend, Leeway we will receive a percentage – at no additional cost to yourself!
