On Saturday 24th November, we hosted our 2018 Annual Ball at Sprowston Manor. The Hollywood themed event was attended by over 150 guests, who generously helped us to raise over £3500. The money raised from the event will enable us to continue to offer high-quality services for those experiencing domestic abuse.
Welcome Speeches
The evening started with a welcome message from Leeway Patron, Nina Nannar, who reminded everyone why we continue to hold events like this. The ball is a fantastic way to raise money for Leeway and a great opportunity to celebrate the charity’s achievements throughout the year. After the welcome speeches, guests enjoyed a delicious three-course meal.
Auction & Raffle
We had lots of excellent auction and raffle prizes donated to us by businesses, organisations and individuals. Auction prizes included hospitality tickets for Norwich City FC matches, a wine tasting evening, photography experiences, a Thames lunch cruise, and much more! We would like to say a special thank you to David Gould of Arnolds Keys Estate Agents for being our auctioneer. We had some fantastic raffle prizes too, including some wonderful cakes, vouchers and gift sets.
Lots of Thank Yous
We would also like to thank EKS Living Clean and Barclays, who kindly sponsored the evening. They have both supported Leeway’s events for many years and we are very grateful for their support. Our regular supporters, The Fuzz, played two sets of excellent live music, and the dancefloor was packed all night! We would like to thank The Fuzz for their continued support of Leeway and for being great entertainers.
Thank you to all the other businesses and organisations that supported the event by donating prizes for the auction and raffle or supported in any way. Thanks also go to Easton & Otley College for the table decorations, as well as everyone Sprowston Manor for providing an excellent venue and all their support in making it a fabulous evening.
A final thank you must go to photographer Richard Jarmy for the excellent photos he took of the evening.
