Get Involved: Supporting Leeway in 2020

16 January 2020
Get involved word cloud

Last week, we announced that Leeway has been chosen as an official charity partner for Run Norwich 2020! Thank you to everyone that has expressed an interest in running for Leeway, so far. Details on how you can get involved can be found on last week’s blog post. Running is not something that appeals to everyone though, so here are a few other ways you can support Leeway this year!

Upcoming Events

Throughout the year we hold a range of exciting fundraising events, with something for everyone to get involved in. We often hold quiz nights, fundraising balls, ghost walks, and much more! We have already got a couple of events confirmed:

  • Golf Day – On Thursday 7th May, we will be holding a Golf Day at Barnham Broom Golf Course. The day includes 18 holes of golf, a two-course meal and a fabulous auction & raffle. Bookings can be made individually or as a team, costing £60 per person or £200 for a team of four.
  • Charity Football Match – On Thursday 21st May, Leeway supporters can take part in a football match held at Norwich City Football Club’s 27,000-seater stadium, Carrow Road. We currently have a waiting list for places to play, but please get in touch to pop your name on the list if you are interested as we want to involve as many people as we can!

As well as these exciting events, there will be further events announced in the coming months. Be sure to follow our social media channels to get all the details about upcoming events.

To enquire or book a place at any of our events, please contact fundraising@leewaynwa.org.uk or call 0300 561 0077.

Volunteering

Another way to support Leeway is by volunteering with us, helping across a range of roles in our office, in our refuges and in the local community. All our volunteers receive training and an induction to Leeway and the work that we do, plus they are supported by a coordinator throughout their time volunteering.
