Fosters Solicitors Triumph at Leeway Golf Day

Last Thursday we hosted our first charity golf day event in the grounds of Sprowston Manor Marriott Hotel & Country Club. The event was was a big success and we were fortunate that the weather held out, allowing us to enjoy some beautiful sunshine. In total eleven teams signed up to take part in the event, each completing the 18-hole course. 

Once all teams had completed their rounds, we were delighted to welcome Richard Pearce from Barclays Norwich, who kindly hosted our auction. We had some fantastic prizes up for grabs, including: 

• A 4 ball session at Sprowston Manor
  
• A signed Norwich City shirt
  
• A meal for two at House of Tiago in Norwich
  
• A signed Levi Roots book

We would like to thank Richard, who kindly agreed to match pound-for-pound all the money raised through the auction, as well Norwich City goalkeeper Declan Rudd for making a guest appearance and donating the signed shirt.

All guests enjoyed a two course meal, consisting of slow-braised Norfolk beef blade with pan-haggerty potatoes and Bordelaise sauce, followed by a baked American-style vanilla cheesecake with tangy raspberry compote. After that delicious meal, we drew our raffle and as with the auction, we had a number of fantastic prizes to give away, including:

• £50 worth of Slaters Menswear vouchers
  
• ‘Tea for two’ voucher at Park Farm Hotel
  
• A Bottle of Adnams champagne
  
• A luxury hamper, courtesy of Drayton Insurance
  
• A 90 minute golf simulator lesson

The evening ended with the announcement of the winners and runners up from the golf. Congratulations go to our winners, Fosters Solicitors, who beat Drayton Insurance by a single point. We also had eight winners of our ‘Beat the Pro’ competition, with former Norwich City striker Dean Ashton the lucky winner of that prize.
